Although not rated high as a One-Day opening batsman, England skipper Andrew Strauss shut some mouths when he scored one of the greatest knocks in the World Cup history against India in the 11th match played at Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru on 27th February. Chasing a mammoth score of 338 runs, Strauss completely dominated the weak Indian bowling attack hitting 18 boundaries and one six. He made 158 runs off 145 balls before being given lbw on a swinging yorker from Zaheer Khan.
